What we've been building
Every version of Moveee and what changed in it — updates, fixes and improvements as they ship. Currently on v1.21.36.
v1.17.7
Indoor: ground colours now match the OpenStreetMap map
2026-07-19- Improved The coloured ground patches — fields, meadows, parks, industrial lots and the rest — are now tinted to the standard OpenStreetMap palette, so the land under you reads like the minimap beside it: pale cream farmland, light-green meadows, muted greys and mauves for built-up areas. Far more variety, and the colours finally mean the same thing on the map and on the road.
v1.17.6
Indoor: farmland is now a real wheat field, not one clump
2026-07-18- Improved Farmland now fills with a whole wheat field — the wheat is tiled across the entire mapped field so it reads as a field of crops, instead of a single crop model dropped on the grass. Each tuft is drawn as a GPU instance, so even a field packed with 140 of them is one draw call and the ride stays smooth.
v1.17.5
Indoor: crop fields and factories on the land that has them
2026-07-17- New Farmland now grows real crop fields — corn and wheat — scattered across the fields you ride past, not just a flat gold patch. And industrial areas now have factory buildings on them instead of a bare grey lot. Both are placed on the actual mapped farmland and industrial land from OpenStreetMap, kept sparse so the ride stays smooth.
- New The biggest mapped farms now sometimes appear as a full farmyard, for a bit more variety among the barns and silos.
v1.17.4
Indoor: farm soil beds sit on the ground
2026-07-17- Fixed The raised soil beds by farms were hovering in the air and were far too big — a roughly 16-metre-wide, nearly 5-metre-tall slab floating about two metres off the ground. They now sit properly on the terrain and are half the size, on every route.
v1.17.3
Indoor: roadside bins sized like bins
2026-07-17- Improved The bins on city pavements were noticeably undersized next to the road — they read as toys rather than street furniture. They are a quarter larger everywhere now, on every route.
v1.17.2
Indoor: the road actually follows your route now
2026-07-17- Fixed The road you ride now traces your route instead of cutting across it. Only 240 points of a route were being used to build it — on a 110 km ride that is one point every 460 metres, with the road running dead straight between them. It sat a typical 20 metres away from the route you recorded, and at its worst 506 metres away: a different road, on a different hillside. Every recorded point is now used, which brings that to under a metre. Bends are bends, and the road on the mini-map matches the road on the real map beside it.
v1.17.1
Indoor: choose how hard the climbs bite
2026-07-17- New Picking a route now asks how you want its climbs: Real gradient, Light smoothing, or Very smooth. Real gradient gives you every pitch as steep as it actually is — a 20% wall arrives as a 20% wall. Very smooth is how Moveee has always ridden: gentler, steadier climbs that never spike. Light sits between them. Some smoothing is always needed because recorded elevation is spiky, but how much is a matter of taste, so it is now yours. Very smooth stays the default, so nothing changes unless you want it to.
v1.17.0
Indoor: the gradient on climbs is honest now
2026-07-17- Fixed The GRADE on the HUD was reading too shallow on climbs — on a 110 km test route it was 4.3 percentage points low on average, and in five places it showed a descent while the road was genuinely climbing 8% or more. It is now within 1.5 points on average, and never shows a descent on a climb. Because the same number sets your trainer's resistance, climbs on long routes were being under-resisted.
- Fixed The elevation detail of a route no longer thins out as the route gets longer. A route was measured every 25 metres up to about 37 km, but a 110 km route only every 74 m and a 175 km one every 116 m, so the longer the ride the more its climbs were flattened before you ever rode them. Every route now gets the full 25 m detail.
- Fixed The gradient is now measured across a fixed 25 metres centred on you. It used to be measured over a stretch that grew with the route's total length — so the same hill read differently depending on which route it sat in — and it looked only ahead, which is why it could show a descent while you were still climbing towards the top. It also no longer runs off the end of a point-to-point route and reads the gradient between the finish and the start.
v1.16.99
Indoor: a real map beside the mini-map
2026-07-17- New Riding a route now shows a real map next to the mini-map, at twice its size, with your route drawn on it and a dot moving along as you ride. The mini-map still shows the course you are on; this one shows the actual place, so you can see where the ride is taking you and what is coming up. It uses the standard OpenStreetMap look you get on openstreetmap.org, so roads, paths, rivers, towns and labels all read the way you expect.
- New The real map zooms: use its + and - buttons, the scroll wheel, or a double-click. Pull back to see the whole valley you are heading into, or push in to read the street you are on. It keeps whatever zoom you pick and carries on following you.
v1.16.98
Indoor: rivers look like water again
2026-07-17- Fixed Streams and canals beside the road were breaking up into disconnected blue shards with hard edges. About a third of every waterway was actually underground: its height was taken from the middle of the channel and then used for both banks, so wherever the ground rose across it the water sank out of sight, and only the parts that happened to stick out were visible.
- Improved Waterways now run as one unbroken surface that clears both banks and is levelled along the flow, and they curve smoothly instead of turning a hard corner at every point the map happens to record. Water you ride past now steps at most about 7 cm between samples, where it used to disappear underground by up to 39 cm.
v1.16.97
Indoor: level crossings stand back from the rails
2026-07-17- Fixed The two warning assemblies at a level crossing sat right on the tracks, one on each verge. They now stand back on opposite approaches, each about 2 metres clear of the near edge of the track bed, so you meet one before the rails whichever way you are riding.
v1.16.96
Indoor: the world stops throttling itself
2026-07-17- Fixed Moveee Indoor could stall mid-ride while waiting for scenery. Whenever a stretch of map was still being prepared, the world asked for it every 3 seconds — several times more often than the server allows — so a rider tripped their own rate limit and was then refused everything for the rest of the minute, including the scenery that was already built and waiting.
- Improved The world now waits longer between attempts each time a stretch of map isn't ready yet, and stands down completely when the server asks it to, instead of hammering away and staying locked out. Riding on a route with friends used the same endpoint and had the same problem.
v1.16.95
Indoor: long routes load without the freeze
2026-07-17- Fixed Loading a long route into Moveee Indoor no longer locks up. Building the landscape around a 110 km route froze the browser for about 55 seconds in one block — the loading bar stopped moving and the tab stopped responding. It is now under 3 seconds, and the freeze grew sharply with route length, so the longest routes gained the most.
- Improved The world builds the same scenery as before, just faster: the terrain, road and object lookups now use spatial indexes sized to what they actually search, instead of scanning the whole route every time. Scenery streaming in mid-ride is smoother for the same reason.
- Fixed On a point-to-point route the ground no longer follows an imaginary road running straight from the finish back to the start, which could pull the landscape to the wrong height where the route passed near that line.
v1.16.94
Heatmaps: 300 km home radius
2026-07-16- Fixed Local and tourist heatmaps now compare each ride's starting point with that rider's saved home: starts within 300 km are local and starts farther away are tourist. Country is used only as a fallback when precise home coordinates are missing.
- Improved The heatmap now explains when a home location or country is needed, and its refreshed tile cache cannot reuse earlier country-only classifications.
v1.16.93
Heatmaps: local riders or tourists
2026-07-16- New Route Builder heatmaps can now separate roads ridden by locals from roads ridden by visiting cyclists, using each real ride's country relative to that rider's home country.
- Improved Older rides are classified safely in the background and cached into dedicated heat tiles, so the new filters stay fast without delaying the map.
v1.16.92
Indoor: quicker header hide
2026-07-16- Improved The Indoor header now gets out of the way twice as fast — it starts hiding sooner after load and slides away in half the time, so you're looking at the road quicker.
v1.16.91
Indoor: on-brand alerts
2026-07-16- Improved Indoor confirmations and alerts now use the app's own dark frosted popup instead of the browser's grey system box, with the action button in Moveee red so alerts stand out.
v1.16.90
Strava: production-only descriptor updates
2026-07-15- Fixed Your automatic Strava ride signature is now written only by Moveee's production app, so local testing cannot add duplicate descriptions.
v1.16.28
Fixed: routes turned into ride rooms can now be deleted
2026-07-15- Fixed Deleting a route that you'd turned into a ride room failed with an error. It now deletes cleanly — the ride room stays, keeping its route proposal and details.
v1.13.01
Ride Rooms: a map on top, live presence & reminders
2026-07-14- New Every Ride Room now opens with the route on a real map plus its elevation profile — hover the map or the graph to trace the same spot on the other, with the climb heights marked in metres.
- New See who's around: riders currently in the room get a green online dot, you can see when someone's typing, and each member shows when they were last seen.
- New Get told when it's settled: once everyone confirms, Moveee emails the crew the locked-in plan and sends a reminder about two hours before roll-out. Each rider can switch either off, just for that room.
- New Share a room with a password: keep the invite link open to anyone you send it to, or add a password they must enter to join. Room links are now unguessable, too.
- Improved One vote per option now — you get a single vote in each box (route, date, time, meeting point, coffee), so backing a new pick moves your vote instead of stacking. Anyone in the room can propose options, not just the host.
- Improved Starting a room is quicker: name it, tap a date (tomorrow, this Sat…), set a time and pick a route — all on one screen.
v1.13.0
A sharper, self-adjusting plan engine
2026-07-14- New Adaptive plans now reshape themselves around real life. After a ride imports — or the moment you log how it felt — Moveee compares what you did to what was planned and adjusts the days ahead in proportion: barely a nudge if you were close, and as much as the whole week if you rode way over or turned up cooked.
- New Every adjustment comes with a plain-language “Plan updated” card on your dashboard and calendar — what your last ride was, why the plan changed, and exactly which sessions moved — with one-tap Undo if you'd rather keep your original week.
- Improved Felt strong with more in the tank than the plan asked for? On an adaptive plan your coach can now add a little quality to the days ahead, not only ease them back.
- Changed The “how hard” 1–5 setting now controls how hard your quality days are — their intensity and load — not how many you get. Turn it up and your hard days get bigger (more VO₂/threshold, more load); turn it down and they lean to tempo, though a longer block still sprinkles in the odd threshold or VO₂. Either way the number of hard days stays the same.
- Changed New plans now start tomorrow by default instead of next Monday, so you can get going straight away — with easy run-in rides bridging the gap to your first full training week.
- Improved Repeated hard sessions keep varying through a block: two VO₂ days in a week — and week after week — now pull genuinely different workouts from the library instead of serving up the same intervals over and over.
v1.12.04
Connect your Hammerhead Karoo
2026-07-14- New Hammerhead's partner API is approved, so the Karoo connection is live: link your Karoo from Integrations and Moveee can send routes, structured workouts and your training metrics (FTP, zones, HR) straight to the device. Rides you record on the Karoo also notify Moveee the moment they sync, ready to pull in.
v1.12.03
Preview a route before you vote for it
2026-07-14- New In a Ride Room, tap the preview icon next to any proposed route to open its map, elevation profile, distance and climbing in a popup — so you can size up each option before casting your vote.
v1.12.02
Ride Rooms: free for up to 5, unlimited on Pro
2026-07-14- Changed Create and host up to 5 Ride Rooms on the free plan — joining rooms you're invited to is always free, and Moveee Pro lifts the limit for unlimited rooms.
v1.12.01
Manage your subscription without leaving the app
2026-07-14- New A new Manage subscription page lets you cancel, resume, and update your card right inside Moveee — no more hopping out to a separate billing site. Cancelling keeps you on Pro until the end of the period, and updating a card while a payment's failing fixes it on the spot.
v1.12.0
Go Pro without leaving the app
2026-07-14- New Upgrade to Moveee Pro right on the /pro page — pick monthly or annual, pay inline with your card handled securely by Stripe, and you're upgraded instantly with a little welcome celebration. No redirects, no leaving Moveee.
- Improved If a Pro payment ever fails, you won't drop to Free right away — we keep you on Pro while your card is retried over a few days and send a friendly nudge to update it. If it still can't go through, you move to Free with everything safely intact.
v1.11.02
Start training in seconds — faster Strava onboarding
2026-07-14- Improved Connecting Strava no longer makes you wait for your whole history to import. We pull in your most recent rides first, so you can build your plan within seconds — the rest of your rides keep loading in the background.
- Changed The import banner now tells you the moment you're ready to build a plan, while your full history and power curve keep filling in behind it.
v1.11.01
The Moveee story + a Telegram community
2026-07-13- New Get to know Moveee on the new About page — our story, what we stand for, and how the app fits together (linked in the footer).
- New Join the Moveee community on Telegram — there's now a link in the footer.
v1.11.0
Ride Rooms — plan a group ride together
2026-07-13- New Turn any of your routes into a Ride Room (Socialize → Ride Rooms): invite a few riders with a link and settle the route, date, time, meeting point and coffee stop together.
- New Propose options and vote — the most-voted choice for each becomes the plan, live. A tie keeps the current pick, so it never flip-flops.
- New Chat with the crew right in the room while you sort out the details.
- New Confirm the plan when you're happy. Once someone confirms it seals — later votes just count as opinions, and only the host can change it, which asks everyone to re-confirm.
- New When every going rider has confirmed, the plan locks in — with a morning-of roster to flag you're on your way, there, or running late.
v1.10.1
WHOOP: your recovery, sleep & strain, in Health
2026-07-13- New Connect WHOOP to sync your daily recovery score, HRV and resting heart rate — plus your average heart rate, day strain, sleep and body weight — into the new Health page (Perform → Health).
- New A trends graph on Health: chart any metric (recovery, HRV, resting/avg HR, strain, sleep) over the last 30, 90 or 180 days — or a custom date range — and hover any day for the exact number.
- New A daily readiness view: your recovery front and centre with the numbers behind it, and a 7-day trend, so you can see how well you're bouncing back — not just how hard you've trained.
- New Your latest WHOOP weight keeps your power-to-weight (W/kg) current automatically.
