Moveee Indoor versions

Moveee Indoor's own version history — the browser trainer world, shared rooms and route scenery, separate from the rest of the app. Currently on Moveee Indoor v0.4.32.

v0.2.77

Moveee Indoor: the sea is water again

2026-07-20
  • Fixed The sea is visible on coastal routes. It was being painted onto the land as a colour — every water vertex took the ground height beneath it and sat 6 cm above it — so it climbed the hills behind the shore (measured on the Izola route: a surface running from 32 m below sea level to 182 m above it) and, because the swell moved vertices up to 1.95 m, it spent most of every wave underneath the ground it was painted on. It is now a genuinely flat surface floated at sea level, with the land cut away beneath it.
  • Fixed Water off Izola was lit as if from below. The surface was wound so its faces pointed down, which meant the hemisphere light coloured it with the ground tone instead of the sky — the Adriatic came out grey-green even with the sun overhead.
  • Changed Sea level is measured rather than assumed: the shoreline is where land meets water, so the ground along it is sampled and the median taken. Only stretches near the ridden route count, since the elevation there is real surveyed data — sampling the rest put the waterline 8 m below an Izola seafront that sits at zero.
  • Fixed The ground can no longer be carved out from under you on a coast road. Cells the route passes through are held dry outright, which matters on a seafront where the tarmac runs within a few metres of the water.
v0.2.76

Moveee Indoor: Slovenian landmarks you can actually recognise

2026-07-20
  • New 37 Slovenian landmarks are now built as themselves: Ljubljanski grad with its outlook tower, the cathedral with its twin towers and green copper dome, the red Frančiškanska cerkev on Prešeren Square, Nebotičnik at its real height, Blejski grad and the island church, Piran's free-standing campanile, plus Predjama, Ptuj, Celje, Maribor, Brezje and the Russian chapel on Vršič. Twenty towns in all.
  • New Baroque onion steeples — the bulbous cap on Slovenian church towers — are real geometry now rather than a plain spire, which is most of what makes a church here look like a church.
  • Changed A landmark is built from the outline OpenStreetMap traced, exactly like every other building; the recipe only adds what an outline cannot say. Nothing is a hand-made model, so a landmark keeps its true footprint and position, and correcting one is a data edit rather than a code change.
  • Fixed A landmark is matched by name AND by where it is. Slovenian churches share dedications relentlessly — found on a real ride, a Ljubljana church called sv. Janeza Krstnika had picked up the recipe written for the one in Bohinj, 60 km away. Recipes carry a position now, so Piran's 40-metre campanile cannot turn up on a chapel at the other end of the country.
v0.2.75

Moveee Indoor: a barn no longer looks like somebody's house

2026-07-20
  • Improved Buildings now look like what they actually are. The map already knows whether something is a house, a block of flats, a shop, a school or a warehouse, and the world was ignoring it — so a farm shed got the window sills, the balconies and the warm plaster of a cottage. Flats now get balconies, shops get glazed fronts at street level wherever they stand, and sheds and warehouses get clad walls with a high strip of glazing instead of rows of little windows.
  • Improved Where the map only says "a building is here" — which is most of them outside town centres — nothing has changed. Buildings are only dressed differently where the map actually said what they were.
v0.2.74

Moveee Indoor: the new town buildings stay off the road

2026-07-20
  • Fixed Buildings from the new low-poly town pack could stand in the middle of the road. Each was split out of a ten-building pack and kept the position it had there, so it was drawn up to 33 metres away from the spot that had been checked for road clearance — the check was right, it was just looking at the wrong place. Every building model is now centred on its own footprint, so what gets checked is where the building actually stands.
  • Fixed A thin open gap ran around the eaves of pitched roofs. A roof deliberately oversails its walls a little, the way a real one does, and that overhanging strip had no underside — so there was a slot you could see through all the way round the building. The roof now builds its own underside from the exact corners it stands on, so the two cannot disagree.
v0.2.72

Moveee Indoor: another city block withdrawn · no more seeing through buildings

2026-07-20
  • Changed One more of the city-pack building models has been withdrawn after review, so it no longer appears anywhere. The two places it had been hand-picked for now take an ordinary building instead.
  • Fixed Some buildings had a slot under the roof you could see straight through, and on a few the roof hung far out past the walls with nothing underneath it. The walls follow a building's real outline while its roof was cut from a rough box around it, so wherever those two disagreed the roof overshot and the space beneath it was simply open. Roofs are now fitted to the building they stand on, and both the underside of any overhang and the top of the walls are closed.
v0.2.71

Moveee Indoor: windows, doors and chimneys — and no two the same · shopfronts, sills and cornices

2026-07-20
  • New Buildings have windows and a front door now, laid out in real storeys with solid wall kept at each corner. The door goes on the longest wall, which for a building sitting along a street is the one facing you.
  • New Something on the roof: a chimney on the pitched roofs, and masts, water tanks or a stair housing on the flat ones. Deliberately not on every building — detail everywhere reads as clutter rather than as a town.
  • New Every building looks different. Wall tone, window rhythm and what stands on the roof are all drawn from where the building actually is, so a street is varied — 146 different wall tones across 300 buildings on the Izola route — and, more importantly, a building keeps the same face every time you ride past it instead of changing as the scenery reloads.
  • Changed All of it is built into the same single mesh per building, so a block with sixty windows still costs three draw calls rather than sixty-three. A detailed building comes to about 51 triangles.
  • New Town buildings have shops on the ground floor — wide, low glazing running most of the bay with a sign band above it, instead of the same flat windows repeated down to the pavement. The street door stays where it was.
  • New More relief on every facade: a ledge under each window, an overhang where the wall meets the roof, and a low coped parapet around flat roofs. Which of these a building gets is part of its block's shared style, so a terrace carries them together.
v0.2.70

Moveee Indoor: buildings are the shape they really are · streets that look like streets

2026-07-20
  • New Buildings along your route are now built from the outline OpenStreetMap actually traced, instead of a stock model stood on the spot. A courtyard block is a courtyard block, an L-shaped farmhouse keeps its L, and a long factory hall stays long. On a ride through Izola, 37% of buildings had a real outline that a box could not describe.
  • New Roofs. Where the map records a roof shape it is used; where it does not — which is almost everywhere — a small low building gets a pitched roof and anything tall or hall-sized gets a flat one, so a village street reads like a village street.
  • Changed A building traced right up against a street no longer has to be pushed away from it. A stock model was rarely the size of the footprint it was given, so it had to keep a safe circle clear of the tarmac; a building built from its own outline can be asked the exact question instead.
  • New Buildings vary far more. Facades take different tints, windows come in different sizes, glass differs from building to building, and most windows now sit in a rendered surround. Some buildings carry balconies on their upper floors, on the street-facing side.
  • New Neighbours match. A building takes its look from its block and its rough height rather than from its own position, so three similar houses standing together read as a terrace while the taller block behind them keeps its own character. Each house still shifts its shade a little, so a row is a family rather than the same house three times.
v0.2.69

Moveee Indoor: everyone in a room rides the same road · the sea is finally there

2026-07-20
  • Fixed A shared route is now built the same way for every rider in the room. If you had turned on removing out-and-back spurs for a ride of your own, that setting could follow you into a group ride and give you a slightly shorter road than everyone else, so your position on the route drifted out of step with theirs. A shared route is always ridden exactly as it was saved.
  • Fixed The sea was being built and then thrown away. A check meant to skip water too far from the road to see was using a road-proximity lookup that reports "infinitely far" a hundred metres off the route, so nearly every piece of sea was discarded before it was drawn — on the Izola coast, 43 patches of water survived out of 8,715. The check is gone; how far the water runs is now set by the shore itself.
  • Changed The sea reaches three kilometres out from the shore, so it reads as open water to the horizon rather than a strip, and the swells were lengthened to match — long ocean rollers rather than close-up ripples, which is what you actually see from a kilometre away.
v0.2.68

Moveee Indoor: the sea actually arrives now

2026-07-20
  • Fixed Coastal routes were still coming through with no sea at all. Scenery is read in widening rings and only the first ring that answers is used — and the shore was being asked for in a ring that never ran. Checked against the Izola route, which now returns the shoreline it should.
  • Changed Which side of the shore is water is now settled by the road itself: you are cycling, so the route is on land and the sea is the other side. That replaces a guess based on ground height, which could get it backwards and flood the land.
v0.2.67

Moveee Indoor: real sea, with waves

2026-07-20
  • Fixed The sea was running over headlands onto dry land in places and missing entirely in others. It was being swept outward from the shore by a fixed distance, which knows nothing about where the water actually is. Moveee now works out, for every patch of ground near the coast, which side of the real shoreline it falls on — so an inlet is water and the headland beside it is not.
  • Fixed On routes where the coast sits more than a kilometre away the sea often never appeared at all. Scenery is read outward in rings, and the shore was pinned to the widest one, so it arrived last or not at all. The shore is now read straight away and from much further out.
  • New The sea moves. Three crossing swells roll across the water and catch the light as they go. It runs entirely on the graphics card, so it costs the same whether you can see a bay or an open horizon.
v0.2.66

Moveee Indoor: a queued route asks how it should ride too · the sea no longer has holes in it

2026-07-20
  • Fixed A route queued from its detail page now shows the same setup step as one picked in the app — smoothing for climbs and out-and-back spurs — instead of dropping you straight into the world on whatever was set last time.
  • Fixed Stretches of sea were missing. The water was being built as one outline swept out from the shore, and on any bay tighter than the sweep that outline crossed itself — which drops whole spans when it is turned into a surface. The sea is now laid as a strip along the shore instead, so a bay simply overlaps itself rather than tearing a hole. More of the shore is kept per stretch of route, too.
v0.2.65

Moveee Indoor: the sea shows up

2026-07-20
  • New Coastal routes now have a sea. It was missing entirely — OpenStreetMap has no polygon for open water, only a line for the shore, so there was nothing to draw. Moveee now sweeps that shore seaward into a blue expanse. It picks the correct side by reading which way the ground falls away rather than trusting how the shore was drawn, so the land never ends up painted blue. Flat colour for now, not moving water.
v0.2.64

Moveee Indoor: cheaper forests and billboards

2026-07-20
  • Changed Forests well away from the road are now planted as a tree line rather than filled solid. You only ever see a wood's front from the saddle, so the trees behind it were being drawn for nobody — a big distant forest now costs a fraction of what it did and looks the same from the road. Woods you actually ride past are unchanged.
  • Changed Billboards no longer carry a texture. Each sign is drawn from scratch with its message, at a quarter of the memory, and boards sharing a slogan now share one material instead of one each — so a roadside full of them costs almost nothing. Blank white billboards can no longer appear.
  • Changed Overhead power lines reach further from the road, and pylons carry them out rather than stopping just past the verge.
v0.2.63

Moveee Indoor: out-and-back spurs removed by default

2026-07-20
  • Changed The ride setup now calls this what it is — out-and-back spurs — and removing them is the default, along with Very smooth climbs. Both defaults sit first, on the left.
v0.2.62

Moveee Indoor: pick a route, then set it up

2026-07-20
  • Changed Loading a route is now two steps. First you pick the route, with a search box for finding one among many; then you set up how it rides. The ride settings now name the route you chose rather than sitting above a list you have not chosen from yet.
  • New A new "Remove switchbacks" choice. Turn it on and Moveee cuts the out-and-back detours a route sometimes picks up in the builder — the ones that ride a hundred metres down a road and straight back out. Real mountain hairpins are never touched, because a hairpin climbs away rather than returning to the point it left. The distance you ride is recalculated from the cleaned route.
v0.2.61

Moveee Indoor: the start is still there when you come round again

2026-07-20
  • Fixed Coming round a lap to the start of a route, the buildings and scenery there were missing. The world only kept the section you are in and the ones either side of it, and that window stopped at the last section instead of carrying on round to the first — so the start was thrown away while you rode the final stretch, and you arrived back at a section still being rebuilt.
v0.2.60

Moveee Indoor: the big hospital block only appears at real hospitals

2026-07-20
  • Fixed The large hospital building from the city pack was being used as an ordinary building anywhere in a town. It now appears only where the map marks a hospital, and only where that hospital is big enough to carry it — smaller ones get the compact hospital instead.
v0.2.59

Moveee Indoor: fifteen new buildings for towns and villages

2026-07-20
  • New Fifteen new low-poly buildings now appear along your route — village houses, mid-rise blocks and a tower — so built-up stretches have far more variety than the handful of shapes they repeated before.
  • New A hospital now appears where OpenStreetMap marks one, rather than that spot getting an ordinary block.
v0.2.58

Moveee Indoor: the real map keeps up with you

2026-07-20
  • Fixed The real-world map beside the ride now follows you smoothly instead of stepping along behind. It was only moving five times a second because it shared a timer with the route map and the elevation profile, which are much more expensive to redraw; it now has its own faster one.
v0.2.57

Moveee Indoor: kerbs meet the road, with a kerb line again

2026-07-19
  • Fixed The pavement now meets the tarmac directly. It used to stand back from the road edge, leaving a strip of grass running down the gutter the whole length of the street.
  • New The kerb stone is drawn in its own colour again, so the corner of the kerb reads as a line down the street the way it did on the old kit model.
v0.2.56

Moveee Indoor: town blocks stay in town

2026-07-19
  • Fixed Big town-centre buildings turned up far too often, including as lone blocks standing in a field. They were used for every building inside a mapped built-up area, and those areas cover whole villages — gardens and edges included. A town block now needs a town block's footprint, and only some of those that qualify take one, so village houses stay village houses.
v0.2.55

Moveee Indoor: pavements that bend with the street

2026-07-19
  • Fixed Pavements now follow a curve properly. They were laid as fixed six-metre kerb pieces, which cut straight across a bend and left the kerb stepping and drifting away from the road; the pavement is now generated along the street itself, so it curves exactly with it.
  • Changed Because the pavement no longer waits for a kit to load, it appears with the street rather than showing a flat placeholder strip first and being swapped out afterwards.
v0.2.54

Moveee Indoor: proper traffic lights at real intersections

2026-07-19
  • Changed Traffic lights now appear only where a big road really crosses your route — a main, regional or through road. They used to turn up at any city side street, including little service roads that would never be signalled.
  • New A signalled crossing now gets a full set of lights instead of a single one: one on the corner of every approach, each turned to face its own oncoming traffic, so every road into the junction has its own light the way a real intersection does.
v0.2.53

Moveee Indoor: right-sized town-centre building

2026-07-19
  • Fixed The town-centre building was rendering far too large in cities; it now sits at a realistic size wherever it appears.
v0.2.52

Moveee Indoor: real hills, now reliably and right up beside the road

2026-07-19
  • Improved The real terrain around your route now shows up reliably and with far more of its true shape. The elevation map comes from a source with no request limit, so the hills no longer quietly disappear when it's busy; and a hill next to the road now rises at its real height and right up close to the road, instead of being flattened for a few hundred metres on either side. Tall mountains keep more of their height, too.
v0.2.51

Moveee Indoor: the things you ride past always get placed

2026-07-19
  • Changed Buildings, forests, trees and fields within 30 metres of the road are now placed first, ahead of everything further out — so in a busy area the world no longer spends its budget on distant scenery and leaves the things right beside you missing. A building close to the road is never dropped to a cap.
  • Changed When there are more features than a section can show, it now keeps the ones nearest the road rather than an arbitrary selection, and carries a few more buildings and fields per section than before.
v0.2.50

Moveee Indoor: cobblestone foot and cycle paths

2026-07-19
  • New The small paths OpenStreetMap maps beside your route — footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, pedestrian ways and steps — now appear as narrow cobblestone paths, where before they were not drawn at all.
  • Changed Cycle paths used to be drawn as a plain grey road; they now get the same cobblestone surface as the other small paths, so they read as paths rather than little roads.
v0.2.49

Moveee Indoor: real hills beside the road, not just under it

2026-07-19
  • New The land around your route now rises and falls the way the real terrain does — a hill or ridge next to the road appears even where the road itself stays flat and never climbs it. Moveee reads a real elevation map for the whole area around the route (not just the line you ride), so a flat valley road can have the real mountains standing on either side of it. The road keeps its own measured gradient exactly; only the surroundings gain the real relief. If the elevation data is briefly unavailable the world quietly falls back to the previous gentle rolling hills, and the map is cached so it is fetched only once per route.
v0.2.48

Moveee Indoor: fields fill in again after the edge-smoothing

2026-07-18
  • Fixed Smoothing the outlines of fields and woods had quietly shrunk each one, so neighbouring patches pulled apart and bare ground showed through where the map has a continuous mosaic of colour. Each patch is now grown back to its real size after smoothing, so the landscape is full of colour again while keeping its soft edges.
v0.2.47

Moveee Indoor: real gravel road surface

2026-07-18
  • Changed Gravel routes now roll over a real photoscanned gravel surface instead of a drawn approximation. Whenever a route is mostly unpaved, its road takes on the new gravel texture automatically.
  • New The gravel photo was cropped to a clean tile, its lighting evened out and its file size cut to a fraction of the original, so it looks continuous down the road without slowing the ride.
